Weeee!! Video #3 by yours truly. :D
Wanted to use an original track for this video but I feel it still needs a lot of work.
Maybe on the next video. :)
Check out our get-together with bloggers Ava Te, Robbie Bautista, Thysz Estrada, Gerd Perez, and one of our artists, Rob Cham.
We enjoyed yummy all-day breakfast from Milky & Sunny and milk tea from the neighboring Moonleaf Tea Shop. :)

[Behind-the-Scenes] PdP Artist Webisodes, Part 1 of 4 (feat. JP Cuison)
A couple of Saturdays ago, October 22, we were finally able to shoot our first series of Punchdrunk Panda Artist Webisodes ever! It has long been our dream to feature our artists more in this light, but somehow, all the other concerns of running PdP day-to-day got in the way, or something. Now, everything seemed to fall into place and voila!
With my kooky, zany, freaky-factory crew, comprised of playground hobo Pat Vinalay, Taylor Swift-lover Shinji Manlangit, and monster-maker Joseph Velasquez, we hit the road, seeking out the victims who we would trap forever behind our lenses.
Victim #1: JP Cuison
PdP first collaborated with JP on a design in mid-2010 or something, I forget (and am too lazy to really try to remember), for our Komiks shoes. JP used to work at Leo Burnett with my PdP partner Gail, hence the connection, but I really do love his work, which is also why my Komiks plimsolls are so worn out. :P In spite of working with him a while back, I never actually had the chance to meet JP in person myself, so I was looking forward to finally meeting him.

I got my JP-designed shoes signed too! Checkitawt! Forgive the worn-outed-ness. And the bad photo. These really are my most frequently used shoes. :P
So anyway, we were lucky enough to be invited to JP’s condo for the shoot. And his living room was decked with his gig posters and a shelf of toys, including some of his own. :)
In spite of his success and recognition, both here and abroad (he was sent to Cannes twice!!), he remains a really humble and down-to-earth guy. Our entire interview wasn’t covered in our webisode, but I loved it when he said something like: Mawala na lahat ng mga tutorial, wag lang yung Futurama (and Simpsons and Family Guy), which roughly translated means he’d rather miss out on tutorials than lose Futurama. :))
So anyway, I stop blabbering now. Just watch this awesome video that Pat edited! Love the new OBB! JP also talks about his upcoming laptop sleeve design for Punchdrunk Panda. OH! And join the contest too! Winner gets a JP-designed sleeve! :D
This is just part 1 of 4, so check back for parts 2, 3 and 4 in the coming weeks for BTS write-ups on Tof, Rob & Kneil. :)
Kidrobot x Swatch Launch @ Secret Fresh
Sept. 17, 2011
Two great brands collab to create some of the awesomest watches ever!
Upon learning about the Kidrobot x Swatch Launch at Secret Fresh, Nica and I immediately prepped a delivery of Punchdrunk Panda items for consignment at the store. :P We wanted to make the most of the crowd that would be attending the launch at Secret Fresh that Saturday.
However, upon delivery on Friday night, we felt that our display was lacking, so, straight from our Community Creativity Camp (CCC) run-through that Saturday, Nica and I decided to head straight to Secret Fresh at Ronac Art Center in San Juan.
We coaxed interns Patman & Jonver to come with us too, to both fix our display at the shop, and check out the Kidrobot x Swatch Launch (even though we were all in workshop / run-through outfits). :D
I personally love both Kidrobot & Swatch, and if one day, Punchdrunk Panda should be so lucky as to have a collab with either one of them (whether to design PdP vinyl toys or watches), I wouldn’t be able to contain myself.
Check out some pictures from the launch below. :)

I’ve always loathed pink, but the design by MAD, I will definitely make an exception. Also love the Frank Kozic design (yellow)!
