Traveling with Pinoy Pride: A Blog Giveaway
When traveling, you are not your name. You are your country.
I’ve had countless encounters with fellow travelers or locals while on my 2.5-month solo trip around Asia, wherein they ask me where I’m from (and I do likewise), we engage in a brief conversation, and part ways without ever knowing each other’s actual names. We then resort to referring to each other as the Dutch couple I met in Laos, or the Filipina that I met in Sri Lanka, or the tuk-tuk driver in Battambang, Cambodia. And that is the truth of some single-serving friends you meet while traveling.
As such, I feel that whenever we travel or interact with foreigners in our own country, we are really ambassadors for our country.
Just some of the stuff I’ll be selling at the Travelers’ Garage Sale on Oct. 6 (SAT) at Moonleaf Maginhawa! :)
I’ll also be selling Punchdrunk Panda camera straps, including some that I designed myself. See below for pictures!!
My First Day of “Loneliness” - Losing The Now
July 23
After a day in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and when I had parted ways with my single-serving roommates, Justine and Michael, I was alone again.

Life in 10KGs with my Punchdrunk Panda laptop sleeve
[Note: The above photo is not a recent photo so I don’t really look like that anymore, but it’s a nicely shot one with PdP laptop sleeves beautifully showcased and just a sliver of my Kaiju laptop sleeve in sight. :D]
Naturally, I would seem biased for saying this, but seriously, any traveler needs to keep his/her laptop protected. And I bring my portable desktop everywhere, pretty much, along with all my other paraphernalia, which is why my everyday bag weighs a ton. :P
As you may have read from repeatedly through my blog, I will be embarking on a 2-and-a-half-month journey around Asia for the sheer pleasure of traveling, talking to strangers, learning new cultures and discovering myself and what is truly important to me. And I’ve committed myself to packing a bag weighing no more than 10 kilos.
In the process, I will have to trim down the non-essentials of my life, tangible & intangible. Though the tangible aspect is much easier, and that is where I will begin. :)
From June 18-29, I will be posting the things that will go into my bag, and sharing some of these with not one, not two, but three (yes, 3!) winners.
Each winner will receive:
- A laptop sleeve from Punchdrunk Panda (no less!) - Worth P660
- A microfiber travel hand towel from Made For Movement - Worth P250
- A spectrum pass from White Space Wellness - Worth P1000
- A P150 GC or a pair of slippers from Banana Peel - Worth P150
That’s P2,060.00 worth of prizes per winner! :D
Get up to 16 raffle entries through Rafflecopter below! (And one more per day if you tweet about the giveaway)
View the terms and conditions below for more details. :)
Good luck!

ANTEROOM SESSIONS 2 by Punchdrunk Panda
March 31, 2012 • Cubao X
This has been the happiest video I’ve had to edit so far. :D
Granted, it took me two months after the event before I actually churned out this video, mostly due to the amount of footage, my workload, and sometimes, most of the time, really just procrastination. But yeah, I found myself smiling stupidly and laughing while reviewing the clips.
I’m bummed that I had to cut out a lot of other fun footage (I imposed a 2.5-minute limit upon myself, for the benefit of those with attention deficit), but I think that essentially, what I have on the video is representative of the good vibes and happy energy of the night (happiest moment is 1:29). :D My work here is done.
I wonder when the next Anteroom Sessions will be. :)
Pa-pa-pa-pa-paaaaaaaa,

My Punchdrunk Panda laptop sleeves have done their job for me all these years, and my Macbook is never without one (maybe except when I remove my laptop’s battery, which is non-existent now). Apart from the protection it provides, the Kaiju laptop sleeve I’m using also showcases a kick-ass design by talented Filipino graphic artist OJ Desuasido, which just makes it so much more awesome.
For my Life in 10KGs Giveaway, my Punchdrunk Panda team will be giving three (3) lucky winners a Punchdrunk Panda sleeve each, along with other goodies summing up to P2000 worth of prizes. Click here to find out how to win! :)
